Interestingly, the developer is known for some of the high-quality mobile games like Asphalt game series, Gangstar, Dead Rivals, and Modern Combat. They might be known for their hardcore and action-packed games but they are not new for working under various Walt Disney titles. Gameloft is also behind other adorable Disney games like Ice Age, Disney Gateway Blast, Disney Magic Kingdom, and many more. Now, they are bringing the beloved Princesses into an epic adventure with Disney Princess Majestic Quest. If you are a big fan, this game is definitely something worth exploring.
The Gameplay
The game follows the story of a strange storm that suddenly strikes the universe of Disney which affects all the well-known Disney Kingdoms. This new Disney game will initially give focus to two kingdoms and the rest are expected to arrive in future updates and developments. The first two kingdoms include the kingdom of Agrabah from Aladdin and the Kingdom of the Beast from the Beauty and the Beast. After the magical storm, both kingdoms were left into ruin and now, your main objective is to help the Disney Princesses restore the places back to their former glory.
Disney Princess Majestic Quest is a colorful match 3 puzzle that takes you to a series of magical and challenging levels with a varying range of difficulties. Generally, the game works the same way with your typical tile-matching puzzles. You will be asked to remove tiles from the grid. To do so, you must skillfully match 3 or more tiles of the same color. Simply swipe the tile to an adjacent tile to do the match. Players can also take advantage of the powerful boosters and powerups to help them maximize their winnings. Above all, the players will enjoy engaging with their favorite Disney characters.
Colorful Match 3 Puzzle
Disney Princess Majestic Quest is not different from any match 3 puzzles like Candy Crush Saga by King or Gardenscapes by Playrix. However, despite all the similarities, Disney Princess Majestic Quest offers some unique elements that make it distinctive above the rest. One of the unique elements is the player’s ability to switch from one world to another. This is not a crossover Disney game where one princess meets the other. Instead, the strange phenomenon will take place on different kingdoms at the same time. Therefore, Princess Jasmine’s journey is entirely different from what Princess Belle is up to.

You might find yourself switching from one kingdom to another but they all share something in common, the colorful match 3 puzzles. Each level will vary in terms of the objectives. Some of which will ask you to clear out tiles and reveal the stained glasses while others will ask you to clear bushes or layout royal carpets. Objectives are different but the gameplay is merely the same. Match 3 or more tiles of the same color. If you match more than 4 tiles, you can create and activate various powerups. Some of which allows you to clear an entire row or column while others allow you to remove all tiles of the same color.
Play With Your Favorite Disney Princesses
What really makes the puzzles challenging in Disney Princess Majestic Quest is the fact that you only have a limited number of moves per level. If you run out of moves, the game will give you the option to pay for coins and get an additional five moves. If not, you have no other option but to start the same level back from the very beginning until you managed to make it through. Players can also take advantage of the consumable boosters that you can buy during the game. Continuous usage of powerups will also fill up your magic wand meter and if you have earned enough, the wand will automatically clear some random tiles on the grid.
Of course, what makes Disney Princess Majestic Quest more special are the Disney princesses themselves. The game allows you to play and interact with some of your favorite Disney characters. Agrabah features Princess Jasmine, Aladdin, Abu and more while Beast’s Kingdom allows you to meet Belle, beasts, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, and many more. Each will have their own significant roles. Eventually, as the game reveals, more Disney Princesses will arrive in the game including Ariel of the Little Mermaid and more. This game definitely has a huge potential, especially for all Disney fans.
The Verdict
Disney Princess Majestic Quest is generally simple yet fun and addictive match 3 puzzles. I think the formula for all Match 3 puzzles never loses its magic and people will continue to love such gameplay. Appearance-wise, Disney Princess Majestic Quest managed to deliver excellent graphics and captures the real Disney vibes to it. To top it all, this game works perfectly well even without an Internet connection and unlike most Gameloft games, Disney Princess Majestic Quest is relatively lighter and won’t consume much of your phone storage. Currently, Disney Princess Majestic Quest had its soft lunch and is only available for Android devices at the moment.
