NEW Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 Skins RANKED!

Along with the new map and a new exciting Agent-inspired theme,  Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 will also greet us with a collection of new skins. Although skins are merely designed for aesthetic purposes and will not, by any means, affect your battle performance, obtaining them is still a cool thing any player can do. This current season comes with 8 new skins. Six of which comes with multiple variants each (thanks to the Season 2’s faction system, players can select between the Shadow or Ghost variant of their selected character). Take note that you can only obtain these skins if you have a Battle Pass. Having such will allow you to embrace all the extra perks of the game including the access to all the new Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 skins.

If the player doesn’t have a Battle Pass, he will be given randomly generated common skin that changes dynamically every battle. The special skins can be unlocked by owning a battle pass, reaching a certain tier level, and by completing their respective challenges (Check Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 Challenges You Must Explore). Today, we are ranking down the skins from worst to best but take note that this list is subjectively ranked.  Without any further ado, here’s our own list of the best Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 skins you must have.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 SkinsAGENT PEELY

We are placing Agent Peely on the eighth spot for one reason, he is not entirely new. Peely was introduced in Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 8 and is considered as an Epic-rarity skin. The character is based on the famous “It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time” and “I am Banana” memes. It is a well-loved character from the franchise and it is not really surprising to see another Peely-inspired skin for this season. Since Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 follows an agent-inspired theme, Agent Peely can be seen wearing a fashionable tuxedo. Agent Peely comes with two variants, the Shadow and the Ghost variants. Take note that you can only select one and the skin style will be applied permanently. The Ghost variant of Agent Peely notably wears a White tuxedo while the Shadow one wears black.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 SkinsSKYE

Skye is one of the newly added bosses in this season and we are placing her on the seventh spot. Much like Agent Peely, Skye is also an Epic outfit which can be obtained upon reaching Battle Pass Tier 80 (and also by completing her challenges). She comes with four edit styles; the Default design, the Shadow, Ghost, and the Golden Agent style. However, due to her young and lively personality, it doesn’t seem to match perfectly on the Season’s agent-inspired theme. Her character designs are apparently based largely on the Adventure Time and The Legend of Zelda series. Her Ghost variant, for instance, features brown and green camo colors similar to Link of The Legend of Zelda series. Interestingly, Skye comes with a cute companion named Ollie, a Pokemon inspired traveling buddy that can also be used as a glider.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 SkinsTNTina

Although there are no direct references, the character TNTina is seemingly based on Tiny Tina of Borderlands 3. For those who are not aware, Fortnite and Borderlands had a special event crossover in Chapter 1. In fact, TNTina has a specific Built-In Emote called “Boom!” to transform into her cartoonish-personality, cel-shaded form similar to the graphics of Borderlands. TNTina is a boss at The Rig and has her own mythical weapon known as “Boom Bow”. She can be obtained upon reaching Battle Pass Tier 40 and like all other special agents, she comes with 4 edit styles including her Shadow and Ghost variants. Like Skye, her overall design doesn’t match well with the Agent-inspired them of the season. Her Ghost style basically turns her into a Gothic girl while her Shadow variant transforms her into a rockstar.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 SkinsMEOWSCLES

A character that comes with an overwhelming cuteness. Well, that is how you can perfectly describe Meowscles, a super buffed cat. Meowscles was hinted at back in Season 7 in the Feline By Design Loading Screen. A concept art called Buff Cat was also created in response to the loading screen. This character eventually became one of the most unique Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 skins. Meowscles can be obtained upon reaching Battle Pass Tier 60 and also by completing his challenges. He is the former boss of The Yacht (before Deadpool took his part) and owns his mythical weapon known as Peow Peow Rifle. Like all the agent characters, he has four edit styles including his Shadow and Ghost variants.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 skinsBRUTUS

If there is one character that matches perfectly for this agent-inspired season, it would be Brutus. The bald head, the shades, and the bulky physique are what most tough bodyguards or FBI agents would look like. His default design, however, is very typical and there is nothing special about it. Interestingly, his Ghost and Shadow variants will make a huge difference. His Shadow edit style ironically is a reference to the Ghost faction in Call of Duty: Ghosts while his Ghost style is more like a merge between Stormtrooper and Baymax. Brutus’s skin can be unlocked upon reaching Battle Pass Tier 20 and also by completing the Brutus Briefing Challenges. His Golden Agent style can be obtained when you reached the Battle Pass Tier 140. Brutus is also the boss at The Grotto (an underground base) and he has a mythical weapon Minigun.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 skinsGEAR SPECIALIST MAYA

Maya is a legendary outfit in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 and one of the earliest skin to unlock (already available at Battle Pass Tier 1). What really makes her character special is the fact that she is the first skin in Fortnite that is fully customizable. She is the first Forged Cosmetic to be released in the game which allows the players to customize her character based on their own preferences. Her changeable parts include Hairstyle, Tattoos, Sleeves, Boots, Shirt Colors, Vest, Helmet, Pants Colors, Face Paint, and Scarf. There are a total of 3.8 million unique combinations you can make out of her options! She doesn’t have a Shadow or Ghost Variant and as well as the Golden Agent style but the fact that you can customize her the way you want makes her one of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 skins ever made.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 skinsMIDAS

A Character that can turn everything into gold, how cool is that? Style-wise, nothing can be more villainous-looking than Midas. He can be obtained after reaching the Battle Pass Tier 100 and also by completing his Midas Mission Challenges. The character comes with four edit styles including a Shadow and Ghost variant. He is a boss at The Agency located at the heart of the battle royale island and has his own Mythical Drum Gun that is considered by many as one of the best weapons in the season. Midas’ gold touch mechanism can turn any weapon or vehicle into gold and even if the character dies, the items will remain gold when dropped and other players can pick it up and it will still have a weapon with a built-in gold wrap. Midas’ Golden Agent variant is unlocked at Level 100 and gets more gold every level until level 140 when it is finished.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 skinsDEADPOOL

I’m sure everyone will agree that Deadpool is one of the best Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 skins. Deadpool is featured as the secret Battle Pass outfit for Chapter 2: Season 2 and comes with multiple variants as well. Unlike the featured bosses in this season, Deadpool doesn’t belong to any faction but most likely part of the EGO organization. He was later assigned to the Yacht replacing Meowscles. Deadpool has an unmasked edit style that showcases his scars and an X-Force variant that features a White-suited Deadpool.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 skinsORO

Oro is one of the newly added skins in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2. It is a Legendary skin that costs 2000 V-Bucks. Oro, which literally means Gold in Spanish, is a skeleton with a visible golden skull, ribs, and bones with a gold crown on his head. Little details were known about him and he was only seen six times ever since he was released.  Many gamers were speculating that Oro is a reincarnation of Midas due to the scar on his eye in the same spot as Midas’s scar, and his set being named, “Midas’s Revenge”. Oro comes with three edit styles including the Golden King, No Glow, and Skeleton King. You can also pair him with a newly released glider “Skellon” (worth 1500 V-bucks), a huge golden skeleton dragon.  Whatever mystery is hiding behind his character is something we have to find out before Season 2 officially ends on June 4.
