The Gameplay

The mechanics for this game are generally simple and easily manageable. If you have experienced playing classic block puzzle games, then this game requires no explanation at all. You should know the drill! Interestingly, Block Puzzle Legend 2019 doesn’t have multiple campaigns to choose from. The game remains faithful to the classic block puzzle game that we used to love. As soon as the game starts, it prompts you right away to the standard 8×8 grid screen. Underneath the board is another panel that displays three randomly-generated puzzle pieces that are merely inspired by Tetris.

It is very important to note that you only receives three puzzle pieces at a time. In order to get a new batch of puzzle pieces, you must consume the previous batch first. Simply drag and drop the puzzle pieces on the board and try your best to strategically assemble them to form full straight lines on the board. These lines can either be aligned horizontally or vertically to clear them off the grid. The more lines you eliminate in one move, the higher the score you will get.

Classic Block Puzzle

Block Puzzle Legend 2019 comes with a very straightforward rule. It doesn’t feature any special elements such as collectible stars, powerups, and special blocks. What really makes this game tricky, much like the rest of the classic block puzzle games, is the fact that you cannot rotate the tiles or the puzzle pieces. You need to place them exactly how they are being positioned. Since the board is only 8×8 in size, it could be quite a challenge, especially when dealing with bigger puzzle pieces. The biggest of them all occupy 3×3 block while the smallest only consumes a single grid.

Be mindful that you must prevent the board from running out of space. If you can no longer fit any tile on the board, the game will come to a quick end. Interestingly, before losing your chance, the game will offer you to revive the puzzle by watching a reward video in exchange. This will eliminate a huge block of tiles from the board and give you enough space for the succeeding puzzle pieces. If you chose not to watch the video, you have no other option but to start the game back from the very beginning.
