The Gameplay

If you have played block puzzle games before then you should know exactly how Block Puzzle Mania works. Interestingly, this game comes with three equally-engaging campaigns to explore including the Classic, Plus and Time mode. All campaigns work the same way except for some minor differences which make them distinctive from one another. After selecting your preferred campaign, the game will prompt you right away to the standard 10×10 empty board. Like any other block puzzle, you are given with three randomly generated puzzle pieces underneath the board area.

Simply drag and drop the puzzle pieces on the board and try to align or assemble them to form a full straight line. The lines can either be formed horizontally or vertically on the board to clear them off. Interestingly, the more lines you eliminate in one move, the higher the score you will get. Unlike the classic Block Puzzle though, Block Puzzle Mania will immediately replace the puzzle pieces right after they are placed on the board. Therefore, you do not have to consume all the previous puzzle pieces before you can get a new batch.

Explore Multiple Campaigns

The best part of Block Puzzle Mania is the fact that you got three campaigns to explore. If you are up for the traditional block puzzle game, you will definitely find the Classic Campaign enjoying. For the Classic Campaign, the player will be prompted to the 10×10 board and all you need to do is to drag and drop the puzzle pieces and form as many straight lines as possible. The goal is nothing more but to get the highest score. This campaign offers no special items or powerups, just the classic simple block puzzle game that we all enjoyed.

Another interesting campaign is the Plus mode. As far as the gameplay is concerned, Plus mode works exactly the same as the other two but what really makes this campaign special is the fact that it features special puzzle pieces. This mode will showcase oddly shaped puzzle pieces which adds more challenge in the game. Like any block puzzle games, you must prevent the board to run out of space, otherwise, the game will come to a quick end and you just have to start the game back from the very beginning. Another campaign is Time mode. As what the title suggests, the goal here is to get the highest score within the given time limit.

Day and Night Theme and Leaderboard

Appearance-wise, Block Puzzle Mania may not offer much of visually striking details. The puzzle pieces and the board itself are notably presented in a very simple manner. However, what makes the game special is the Day and Night scheme which players can switch whenever they want to. Day Theme simply comes with a white interface while Night theme turns the board black. Just head over to the Settings icon and tap the Day and Night button to switch themes.

As far as the scoring system is concerned, the game will record your personal best for each campaign. You can also switch from one campaign to another without losing your progress. The game also features a leaderboard system using the Google Play Center. There are separate score charts for each campaign and each is sorted based on All time scores, Weekly and Daily.
