The Gameplay

It is also interesting to note that this game shares a lot of notable similarities with Block Puzzle Jewel by Hua Wei Wei. The designs were very identical except the fact that the Block Puzzle Jewel features a female explorer while this game features a male one. This game also features multiple campaigns but it doesn’t have a 10×10 Classic Mode. As what mentioned above, the main goal is to get the highest score as possible. If you have played a classic block puzzle game, then you should know the drill.

As soon as the game starts, it prompts you to the main page where you can select your preferred mode. There are three campaigns to choose from which include Classic, Timed, and Bomb mode. All campaigns will take you to a standard 8×8 board. Underneath the board is another panel that features three randomly-generated puzzle pieces. These Tetris-inspires puzzle pieces will only come in three pieces per batch. Simply drag and drop the pieces on the board and try to create a full straight line to clear them off. The more tiles you eliminate, the higher the score you will get.

Impressive Mayan Theme

Appearance-wise, Block Puzzle Guardian is an absolute visual delight. The game will treat you with an impressive Mayan theme. The main page features a male explorer who seemingly unearths a hidden Mayan Temple. Interestingly, the playing area features stone slabs adorned with some intricate details. The entire screen is bordered with leaves that complement well with the given theme. Above all, the game is accompanied by a piece of relaxing Jungle-inspired music and well-fitting audio effect which makes this game even more enjoyable.

Not to mention the wonderfully-designed puzzle pieces. The shiny jewels made this game an absolute visual delight! From time to time, you will also encounter rockets. They will randomly appear on the board. Creating a line along with these rockets allows you to eliminate an entire row and column. Interestingly, unlike other block puzzles, this game will allow you to revive the game by watching a reward video. This will send a TNT bomb that destroys 5×5 block.

Explore Different Campaigns

The best part about Block Puzzle Guardian is the multiple campaigns you can explore. Currently, the game has three different campaigns to choose from. The Classic Campaign takes you to the classic block puzzle gameplay. It prompts you to a standard 8×8 Grid and your goal is to get the highest score as possible. Despite being a classic campaign, it will still feature rockets that you can greatly take advantage with. Timed Mode, as what the title suggests, will give you a time limit. Players only have 120 seconds to match the magic jewels. They said that the giant stone gate will fall and block you when the time is up. Interestingly, you will encounter time clocks which allow you to partially extend your time.

Bomb Mode, on the other hand, works the same way with the classic campaign except for the fact that you will encounter time bombs. Bombs will explode and burn out all jewels if you could not destroy them in 10 moves. To make it more challenging, another bomb will be thrown out on the board after every 5 moves. The game also comes with a Leaderboard system. Simply connect your Facebook Account to access the chart and compete with other players online. Each campaign has its own separate score chart.
