When it comes to first-person shooter games, we can only name a few that left a huge mark in gaming history. Of course, the list will not be completed without the well-acclaimed Call of Duty franchise. The game series came out in the early 2000s and was expanded in various installments, titles, and spin-offs. Few of which includes Modern Warfare and the Black Ops story arcs. Although the game managed to conquer PC and numerous gaming platforms, the mobile gaming market has a different story. The popularity of Battle Royale games brought us some incredible FPS games like PUBG and Fortnite.

Some gamers are dubbing it as the Battle Royale craze. Most games are adopting this unique first-person shooting game experience. Aside from the giants PlayerUnknown’s Battle Ground (PUBG) and Fortnite, you can also find some decent Battle Royale games like Rules of Survival, Free Fire and more. Interestingly, Call of Duty lovers will have a great reason to rejoice as Activision is finally joining the bandwagon. They recently released a game called Call of Duty Mobile which is currently in beta phase.

Call of Duty MobileThe Gameplay

Activision has many well-acclaimed video game titles under their name. Call of Duty is just one of the many game series they published and what will you expect from this well-acclaimed publisher? Of course, nothing more but greatness. Well, this is not a bold claim at all because even though Call of Duty Mobile is still in beta phase, the quality of the game is simply overwhelming. Call of Duty Mobile will give you the experience we all enjoyed from the original COD games. It offers multiple game modes including the classic campaigns we all enjoyed and as well as the new Battle Royale experience.

The mechanics of the game are very simple yet much like any FPS games, the players are strongly encouraged to exert the best of their skills and also to establish the most effective strategy to maximize the chances of survival. Although it captures almost everything from its console and PC versions, the game controls for Call of Duty Mobile are drastically changed. Moving around the map for an instance will require you to use the virtual joypad while the rest of the actions are performed through tap-based buttons.

Call of Duty MobileClassic Modes and Battle Royale

The Closed Beta version of Call of Duty Mobile is only available in Australia and Indian servers at this moment. Currently, the beta version offers three engaging modes. First of which is the classic Multiplayer campaign. If you have played the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare or the most recent Black Ops 4, Call of Duty Mobile Multiplayer mode features the classic Boots-on-the-ground gameplay which means, players will enter the battlefield without the advantage of those exo suits. The game will also take you to the classic COD maps like Nuketown, Hijacked and more.

Another classic mode returned in Call of Duty Mobile is the iconic Zombie mode. Although Activision has released a separate Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies mobile app, you can still experience this intense horrifying action in Call of Duty Mobile. It features a 4 player Co-op mode on a round-based mission. The most interesting highlight of this mobile game is probably the inclusion of the Battle Royale mode. Much like a traditional Battle Royale, players will be deployed on a remote island and they have to battle against each other and be the last man standing.

Similar to the traditional battle royale gameplay, players will have to scavenge and scout for weapons and gears that are randomly scattered on the map. They are encouraged to utilize everything to maximize their survival. Players can also switch between First person and third person camera perspective. All iconic COD weapons are also featured in this game.

Call of Duty MobileHow to Install Call of Duty Mobile

Unfortunately, Call of Duty Mobile is still on a Beta phase and is not yet released globally. Currently, the game is in closed Beta and is only available in Australia and Indian servers. Interestingly, if you are really eager to experience this game, you can try some effective methods and allow us to give you a quick and easy guide. First of all, you cannot directly install the game from the Google Play Store if it is not yet available in your country. The first thing you should do is to download a VPN for Indian servers. You can find a lot of free and functioning VPN India mobile app from the Play store.

Now, you can go to an App depository site like Apkpure or Aptoide and download both APK and OBB files. Do not open the APK files yet. First thing you should do is to extract the OBB zip folder from the File Manager of your phone. After doing so, move the extracted folder to the OBB folder (located on the Android folder). Once done, open the VPN you downloaded and connect to an Indian server. After successfully connecting to an Indian server, open the APK file to install.

This process might actually take some time. Just wait for the installation until it is completely done. Open the Call of Duty Mobile app and wait for it to patch. If everything was done properly, the game will prompt you right away to the game screen. In case you are stuck in the Black screen after the Activision intro, you’ve probably done some mistakes when installing or downloading the OBB file. If you encounter an error during the patch, something is wrong with the VPN app you downloaded. You might consider restarting the VPN or simply find a new one that works. Of course, a stable and strong Internet connection is highly required during this process.

Call of Duty MobileThe Verdict

Call of Duty Mobile is still in beta phase and the game is honestly not as smooth as it should be at this moment. This is because the game is still in development but the developers are working to improve the game experience so you can embrace the best Call of Duty experience once it is finally released globally. Although the game is still in beta phase, the graphics are surprisingly impressive and I love the fact that everything is optimized for the mobile phone. Overall, it is truly a great FPS game and we just can’t wait for its official release. Currently, Call of Duty Mobile is only available in Android devices and also in selected servers (India and Australia respectively). Good luck and have fun!
