Hoop Smash is definitely one of the most addictive games by Kwalee. The game is actually similar to Helix Jump but in an entirely different approach. The main objective for Hoop Smash is to help the ball break all the weak platforms until it reaches the bottom. Unlike Helix Jump, the platforms here are not hollowed and instead, you’ll see colored areas which are identified as weak spots which you can breakthrough.

The Gameplay

The mechanics are very simple and easily manageable. Hoop Smash comes with a very straightforward rule. Break through the weak platforms until the ball reaches the lower most part of the tower. Much like Helix Jump, Hoop Smash features a one finger control system. In order to smash the platform, simply tap the screen. Each rotating layer has two different colors; one identifies the weak spot and the other identifies the unbreakable. Players must prevent the ball from hitting the unbreakable platforms, otherwise, the game will come to a quick end.

To identify which platforms are weak and which are not, the color of the top most platform indicates the weak spots. Take note that you can only pass through the next level when you managed to reach the bottom part of the tower. This goal might sounds easy and manageable but the game in general is surprisingly challenging. It definitely requires players to exert the best of their visual reflexes and to show off their impressive eye and hand coordination in order to maximize their chances in winning.

Dynamically Changing Levels

It is very interesting to note that Hoop Smash features infinite number of levels. Therefore the game will continue as long as you want but the level of difficulty is still drastically increasing as you progress. Although the setting is repetitive and you will be dealing with the same rotating tower, the platforms and the challenge are noticeably increasing as you reach higher levels. The speed of the rotation will dramatically increase which makes the game even more challenging and thrilling at the same time.

Appearance wise, Hoop Smash offers a neat and simple presentation. Despite the simplicity and repetitive details, the color of the tower is randomly changing per level which somehow gives interesting distinction.  The game is also accompanied by a catchy music which makes it even more engaging to play with.
